You are a monster, on the outside,
But inside you are afraid,
Of the passion, you are bearing,
So strong it can bring forests to their deaths.
I look through your eyes,
I see the sparks and the fire,
I fall completely in love with it,
But I am an ocean full of desire.
My storms are damaging and rageful,
And my tides bring peace and calm,
Your flames bring destruction and rebirth,
But when they’re tamed, they give out warmth.
Tho’ we’re so similar, we are our opposites,
Together we won’t last for long,
The balance that we’re on is so fragile,
And at some point, one of us will grow.
Eventually, you’ll either make me boil,
Until my drops evaporate for good,
Or I’ll extinguish you with my floodings,
And rain upon your embers, tuning them cold.
